Pioneer Glass operated for a short period of time in 1984 after Imperial closed on June 15. The S.I.C. mark stands for "Save Imperial Committee." Their hope was that they could keep the factory from being closed for good, but as history relates, the factory was ordered to be liquidated in August 1984. Pioneer pieces were only sold in local gift shops around Bellaire, Ohio.
